For the Girl Struggling to Step Out in Faith

"I'm sorry my faith is so weak," I prayed through tears, "I don't know why every step I take forward has to be the hardest step I've ever taken."

I felt God's voice speak in my spirit, "Every step you take forward is upon ground I have already given you. You see yourself as who you are today but I see you as who I predestined you to become. What you lack is not faith, but trust in Me and the good plans I have for you. True trust is believing My intentions towards you are always good." (Jeremiah 29:11-13)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

What I was experiencing wasn't a lack of faith but a lack of trust. And it was true, I had allowed myself to believe the lie that wherever God was leading I wouldn't be prepared, I wouldn't like the destination, or worst of all I would disappoint God with what He had entrusted to me. Then He would finally realize He should have picked someone better fit for the job.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Maybe you've accepted one or all of these lies as truth. So let's set the record straight: God is not surprised by you. He knows your gifting and the areas where the world says you fall short. In the Bible, God consistently chose the most unlikely individuals to carry out His most miraculous works. He knew what He was getting with you and He chose you as you are, not as you think you should be. God is a good teacher and a good teacher prepares you for the test. God will prepare you for what He has prepared for you. Wherever the journey may lead, the destination is good and far greater than what you could ever see, hear, or imagine (1 Corinthians 2:9). Be strong and courageous, God is for you (Ephesians 6:10). God has destined for you an irreplaceable role to fulfill in this Kingdom crowned, victory story.

Stay the course, beautiful. There is nothing ordinary about you. You are chosen, called, and crowned as a Daughter of the King (Romans 8:30). Your story is only beginning.

I want to help you take that next step of faith. Sometimes we just need to look at our journey from a different angle.
